We purchased the wine lights set to test them out for our wedding centerpieces. We are wine lovers and thought this unique product would give each table a intimate, private setting. Well we visited the reception hall this week to test them out and they were a bust! We had soaked the wicks in the oil and lit them and after going up in a 2-3 inch flame initially, the wicks eventually blew out (after only a few minutes!). We thought maybe we were doing something wrong so we read the boxes for the flame protectors and the oil lamp (all which was bought from Wine Enthusiast) and there were no directions! Nor were there any tips on getting the wick to stay lit. We were extremely disappointed. Needless to say we soaked the wicks for an hour or two more and when we tried to light the wicks then, the same thing happened- a huge flame initially that in minutes fizzled out. We won't be using these for our centerpieces!

the wick fell out when I took out of package when I went to reinsert it did not fit. wick holder dropped on counter while I was trying and that broke. One candle not so good

The first lamp that I have used that does not smoke. Put some small pebbles in your favorite wine bottle and fill it up with lamp oil.

I am usually a budget shopper, but I had to get these candle lights for our resturant. The display looks wonderful very nice, I love them!!! Thank you. :-)

Use for inside around the bar area or for the dining room table. For outside use with citrinella oil.

We love the look of these candles in our dining room and have received several compliments. Our only complaint is that the wick does not stay lit very long and it is virtually impossible to use these as actual candles.

I did not learn until after I received these that you had a slightly larger size that would fit some of my bottles. This, after I had sent 3 to Texas as a gift. [...] I've had the wicks and corks for 2 years, but wanted to add the globes so that I can enjoy them more on my deck.

I put them on my most colorful wine bottles. I set them on my bar. I live in Baja, so my electricity goes out in the winter quite often, so now the candles are close at hand. Thanks

A great way of using an empty bottle of your favorite wine !! Especially on a summer night, out on the patio having a pleasant evening dinner with family and friends.

Great idea. I had some unique wine bottles that I saved but didn't know what to do with them. The wine lights set was the perfect solution. Great gift to give for someone who loves wine.
