Riedel Ultra Wine Decanter

This was a gift for my boyfriend who love his wine toys. Riedel products are the majority of what he owns so I just thought to follow that trend. The product was as well crafted as expected but what really surprised me was how easy it was to clean. I had expected to need some kind of instrument to dry the inside of the decanter but instead, every drop of water poured out. All you have to do is turn it over and the inside is completely dry! A great purchase, I would certainly buy another one for myself.

Maybe we need practice pouring from this kind of a carafe, as this lovely product should not drip!

Wide base disperses the sediment around easier. the narrow opening helps prevent spillage..

Pours fine until the last glass. Tipping the decanter enough to get the last glass of wine out will cause the wine to go through the narrow part completely around so that it runs out all around the opening. This dribbles all around the glass and luckily for me on the counter. And this happened the second time when I knew the problem and I was trying to be very careful.

This decanter when pouring, drips down the side when righting!
