Positioned as the new generation of Riedel wine glasses, Vinum XL brings fresh excitement to the benchmark Vinum machine blown range. The collection includes superior and finely tuned wine glass shapes for major Grape varietals. Machine made with 24% lead crystal. Recommended to hand wash. Created…
I like these glasses for robust reds in general, even though they are said to be especially for Pinot Noir. I think the bowl size is just a bit large, however. Four to six ounces smaller, and they'd be the perfect all-around red wine glass.

Entertaining friends and family with great bottles of wine. The large size glasses are a statement in themselves and their uniqueness is obvious.

My girlfriend and I first used these while wine tasing in Oregon. They were EVERYWHERE. We were so impressed with them at the first vineyard tha they gave us a few to take home. After surviving the flight back to DC, we dropped one on the floor and the stem broke, so we bought more. Im impressed the bowl didn't break as well considering the height of the fall. The consumer version of the glass is actually much nicer than the commercial version. Very high quality crystal, large bowl, long stem, and they really do make pinot noir (especially from Oregon) better. They say dishwasher safe but crystal is porouse so soap will soak in and stain if you wash it in the dishwasher. I hand wash with a little bit of dish soap and rinse really well. With a good brush or sponge it takes about 30 seconds a glass and no soap clouds. All in all, every Riedel vinum glass is great if you dont mind spending a little extra. You definitely get what you pay for.

Originally called the "Oregon Pinot" glass but relabeled to not rule out other Pinot uses. It is truly perfect for Oregon Pinot because of its slightly higher acidity (certainly compared with CA Pinots, but even many Burgundians). Obviously there is no problem with other Pinots. After all, it's nearly the same shape as the "Pokal" Burgundy glass, the [$] master piece for your $100+ Master Pinots.

We love these glasses - have about a dozen now. They are fantastic for entertaining- guests are really wowed by the tulip shape. We have gotten to the point where we use them for most all of the wines we drink, red, white, pinot, cab... whatever- they just feel good to hold and drink from.

Brings out the best of the wines bouquet, and large bowl makes it easy to swirl without ever splashing. I'm a repeat buyer, and love this glass.

I really love these glasses. They are very elegant. I don't put them in the dishwasher, just because sometimes dishwashers will cause etching. I am 100% pleased with them.

The design of the glass is gorgeous, and the crystal sparkles. However, the glass size is quite large, much larger than I expected. That said, the glass is beautiful and the wine looks appealing in the glass.

I did not know that this glass existed until August 2009 when my husband and I vacationed on the Oregon Coast. We stopped at Ponzi Wine Bar for a wine tasting and they provided these glasses to taste Oregon pinot noirs in. I already own the Vinum Extreme series for most wine types including pinot noirs but I just loved holding and drinking from this glass. It is a thinner glass but seems sturdy enough and the shape really brings out the best in the wine.
