They are dishwasher safe if you put them on the top shelf not close to the heat ring on the bottom. One was distorted due to excessive heat exposure in the dishwasher's lower shelf. Love the product. I ordered these for a friends sail boat. If dropped overboard they float and they will not break, another safety feature. Everyone was so impressed with these glasses. I even ordered some for my patio and pool area. The only thing to remember is DO NOT PUT THEM IN THE DISHWASHER. My friend did and cried. They are plastic and will melt to nothingness! She ordered two more sets she loved them so much but now knows to wash them by hand. I love these glasses, espcially the notch for your hand. Comfortable and classy!

My only complaint is that, since these are not guaranteed dishwasher safe, I prefer to wash them by hand...and they are a bit hard to wash. The opening is small and the edges slightly sharp, so they hurt my hands a tiny bit if I'm not careful. This is hardly a deterrent, though. They're so cool, it's definitely worth it!
