Riedel Vinum Gourmet Glasses (Set of 2)

This product was to replace two glasses in my set of Riedel glasses that I use for water glasses. I have always loved these glasses for dinner parties; I use them with either the red or white Riedel wine glasses.

I know these are "water" but they work great for that daily glass of red wine and fit easily in the dishwasher because of short stems. They are quite durable. Just replace the last lot which I'd had for 10+ years - work horses.

When we are not entertaining, or just have family over for dinner, we rely on these glasses for wine before and with dinner instead of our stem ware, unless we are opening a special bottle for some occasion. They are perfect for this use, and if you're careful handling them, you can get many years of use.

The bowl is big enough to show off the wine but the glass is small enough to fit in dishwasher, shelves,etc.

I returned the product

Regular long stem wine glasses tend to get knocked over too often during active dinner conversion and particulary my monthly poker sessions. I don't like the new stemless glasses, and find these 1" stem glasses to be the ideal wine glass for stability and holding comfort. They may be water glasses if you put water in them, but they are really very practical wine glasses and I like them for this purpose. Plus, being Reidel, they are very light weight and high quality glasses.

Stylish & practical. Great for water, juice, beer, wine--everything; we use them every day and when entertaining. Almost unbreakable. A few times, I've dropped them (twice on tile)--sometimes they break but sometimes they actually bounce. I have broken several, however, by dropping ice cubes into the bowl and by putting ice in without enough liquid--the icy mix expands and breaks the bowl. A great glass; We highly recommend it.

I use these glasses everyday for white wines. I also use them when I entertain to serve white wine. There is nothing that I do not like about these glasses. They are a great value.

The riedel gourmet glasses dress the table and are a great compliment to any place-setting

these are very versitile glasses to have on hand. they make great water glasses ... beer glasses ... any beverage glasses that fit in well with the table setting of the other Riedel glasses.

These glasses are very slightly shorter than the same glasses bought a couple of years ago.

though called water glasses they hold wine very well too. In fact perfectly !
