While the dimensions are listed in the description, the picture makes it seem smaller. As far as usable space that it needs, take a sheet of US letter sized paper and hold it vertically. If you rotate it, so it shows what space would be needed for something three demensional, that is what is needed for your table, stand, or other location.

I have hosted several wine tastings, with 14 different wines. It's prudent to have a nice spittoon for your guests. This was an upgrade over even nice glass vessels. When the evening was over, I simply rinsed, and washed with soap & water. Perfect, ready for next time.
