Great for wine cellar very sturdy and looks great but if you use an manual screwdriver your hands will have blisters like mine did.

The product materials are of good quality. Assembly required undoing as instructions were very sparse. Once assembled, the racks were solid.

Great wine rack

I ordered on a Sunday night and Monday I recieved a new catalog and this product had free shipping promoted in it. I called customer service and they said that promotion was not in effect yet. THERE WAS NO STARTING DATE ON THE CATALOG. They would not honor the free shipping but finally offered to give me a a merchandise cupon for $50. That was less than half the shipping cost. I still have not recieved the cupon.

This product came with no instructions. It included 3 different sizes of screws when only two sizes were needed. After an hour agonizing over how to get it together, I found a link to instructions back on the wine enthusiast product site. There were 3 holes missing (that should have been pre-drilled).

I found the instructions very adequate. The "H" screws were shipped in two different sizes. One being nearly 1/4 inch longer. That made those VERY difficult to screw in. The pilot holes for the screws were just a little too small. I redrilled all with a bit that was 1/32 inch larger. The wood seems to be of good quality. I had no splitting and the finish was fine. My biggest complaint is with the price in the catalog. I ordered on a Sunday night and the next morning I got a new catalog with Free Shipping. I called customer service and was told that the new pricing was not in effect yet. But there is NO place on the catalog that gives a starting date, just an ending date. I was NOT able to get the free shipping but instead was promised a mechandise cupon for $50; about half of the shipping cost. I have not received the cupon yet. In my opinion the product was great but customer service stinks.

Is actually a good rack - when assembled. It went together only with 2 people, a drill and some glue. The screws were not sizes right for the pre drilled holes and one of the wood bars split. Had to glue it to ensure stable hold. Altogether though it looks great and works well in a practical sense ( yes holding wine bottles...).

I assenbled 5 of these for my cellar. After the first rack, two of us assembled the other 4 in less than hour each. It helped to drill starter holes in the back of the rack. We had almost no wood splitting. Mine rest atop a one foot high bench so I don't to get on my knees to fetch a bottle. I also assembled a 3-wide and corner 4-wide.

I read all the other comments about this product before buying so I felt like I had a good idea about the rack before purchasing one. I was interested in a larger capacity rack for the dining room and also considering creating a wine cellar with several of these units. My biggest complaint is that the rack is not really ready to assemble - as other reviewrs have noted holes may need to be drilled and care must be taken to avoid cracking the supports with the screws (if you expand the picture you'll even see one cracked there!). I also had to reattach a couple of bottle supports that were loose when I received the unit. The directions are terrible but if you have ever put together any other furniture it should not be too difficult to figure out. If you haven't....well good luck. The unit seems sturdy enough after a month of use (about 60 bottles on it right now) but I would recommend attaching it to the wall with the included brackets. I like the display row for some of my favorite bottles - one of the reasons I bought the unit - and it also holds plenty of bottles in the dining room for when we entertain. For the price I would expect the unit to be better prepared for assembly but overall I would recommend the unit as decent but not fantastic - it's better than the one it replaced. 3.5 stars would be a better rating but you have to choose 3 or 4.

It's fine for basement storage, nothing I would put out for show.

Good quality product. Wood is sealed, unlike other racks I've bought from different companies.

I read the other comments prior to buying... I have to say I disagree with any comment that said it was hard to assemble. It was very easy to assemble. No problems at all. It is very sturdy and well designed. It looks great. It took me about 2 hours to put together and I was not in a hurry.

This is exactly what I needed for the space I have in my kitchen with 10' ceilings. Assembly is another story. Screws are inadequate to pull in brace pieces. Yes, although careful, wood split in front. Assembly must be improved, otherwise is very functional piece.
