Designer Rack Kit - Diamond Bin w / Face Trim (Redwood Natural)

Bulk storage has never been so practical yet chic what with the absolutely attractive design of this Diamond Bin With Face Trim. We really go for the fine quality of the wood, the superb craftsmanship, and the way those beveled rails and eased edges cradle dozens of wine bottles in such a secure way. At the current price, it's really an amazing buy because you get maximum bulk storage of over a hundred wine bottles, save space in your wine cellar, and make organizing your favorite bottles a more enjoyable task.

This is a very nice product, onc assembled, but I was quite surprised by the amount of work involved and how difficult it was to get the pieces to line up. I had to do quite a bit of sanding and trial and error fitting to eventually get it right and then I was very surprised to have to saw a lot of wood for the corners. All told, it took me a good three to four hours, and I'm usually good at this stuff. Still, in the end, it is a lovely piece and better looking than just about any wine rack I've seen.

The basic assembly of the sides and diamond bin pieces was okay. The face trim was sent uncut and needed to be mitre cut. I happen to own a mitre saw and have done fine wood work in the past and it was a challenge for me to get the cuts "just right." For the price of this piece, the trim should be precut. They send screws for the frame portion but nails for the rest. The nails do not hold well. I replaced those with 1 5/8 #6 wood screws which held MUCH better. Does not hold Burgundy or Pinot Noir bottles well - they will fall out. Holds Cabernet type bottles very well.

I thought it would come assembled, stained, and sealed. Too much extra work
