Use to keep already chilled wine cool. Don't expect it to cool a wine properly from ambient temperature.

This wine chiller was a pleasant surprise. It fits most bottles (very tight on Prosecco bottles) and chills within about 10 minutes, especially if the bottle is in the refrigerator.

I saw this online and was excited that it was on sale to boot! It had been in my freezer and after putting it over the bottle for 7 minutes, the wine was still not cold. I would not recommend purchasing this if you are looking to chill a bottle immediately. It also did not stay frozen once removed, either, for longer than 5 minutes.

This is an inexpensive way to keep a bottle of wine chilled. I gave several as a gift to friends who love to sit on the porch in the summer. I now want one for myself. It works great!!!

The 5-minute goal for chilling wine to a drinking temperature is optimistic in my view. We still have better results setting a bottle in our refrigerator's automatic ice bin for the same amount of time. However, if we're entertaining in another room, it is handy to instead bring a bottle wrapped in the chiller.

We have other chillers: terra cotta,ceramic. However they take up too much room in the freezer and we forget to prechill them. These are compact and kept in the freezer. We now give them as gifts with a bottle of wine.

works ok for chilling a bottle of wine, but best for keeping a bottle of chilled winer cold when you are outside. we use it when sailing, just keep in the ice chest or freezer, and then put an opened bottle of wine in while you enjopy the day
