We thought this would be convenient to use with the venturi aerator, but found it easier to hold the venturi directly over and somewhat lower in the glass ourselves. When using different sized glasses, the stand is too high and splatters or drips don't necessarily fall into the glass. Having to hold the glass up to the aerator in the stand seems to defeat the purpose of the stand. You're still having to use two hands to pour the wine and hold the glass. Also, with the Venturi dripping a little out of the air holes, the stand is more to clean up than hand-holding the Venturi, so we returned the stand. We're considering the new Venturi stand, but we'll wait a bit.

When opening a new bottle

We have used this for every glass we pour. My wife is now drinking wines that she didn't care to drink before. Our best friend liked it so well that he bought one, also. He loves it.
