the intergrated foil cutter and the waiter style corkscrew work extremely well. This handy tool is much more efficient than bigger bulkier openers, functions better than more expensive openers and is a much better value. The handle is made of good quality plastic, but it is not made of horn or other presentation/gift quality material.

Bought this thinking it might be over priced at [$]....but after having a chance to try it out I am happy with the purchase. It is priced right. cuts foil with ease and opens bottles very smoothly.

Opening wine
After several $100 and $200 plus "pretty" bone-handled French and Italian handheld corkscrews that break screws, smooth out serrations, or just have non-circular screws that mangle corks, I've tried this [$] one. It's not pretty, but it works. Screw is heavy and long, larger handle provides excellent grip and the important leverage, and the foil cutter is the easiest and fastest way I've seen. No more serrated knives for me. I don't need to put on a bottle-opening show, I just want to get the job done.

This is my 3rd one and I do like it. (obviously) But my first 2 broke with one type of wine that has a plastic cork. The cork is too tight so from now on, when I open this particular wine, I will use a "mark spitz". Am I dating myself?

My husband loved his stocking stuffer! He loved the cutter that is part of the corkscrew. The cutter is easy to use and we won't lose it! The corkscrew is nice and heavy, well-made.

If you have researched wine bottle openers, it is intuitively obvious that you can pay $$ more and purchase items much larger--but why? This is as easy and as good as they come. Storage is easy and it performs better than advertised at a reasonable price. I suppose some inventor could spend years in a lab and spend thousands trying to improve upon the functionals design, but why wait.

I bought an opener like this one, with the attached foil cutter, in Italy 9 years ago. It recently broke and I couldn't find one anywhere. I love its convenience and wanted another one. It's so nice to have one tool instead of two.

We buy this for many people as gifts. Cuts the foil on any wine bottle easily and is a wonderful corkscrew as well. Very easy to use.

Bought to replace one which severed off at the foil cutter after several years. Paid WAY TOO much here though. These are available cheaper at wineries without the fees and handling.

Great product. It feels sturdy and well constructed. The foil cutter is much better than what I was uingbefore and in comparing the two. this one seems like it will hold up much longer. Great when bringing wine to a party or picnic. Much esier to use than the tradition blade on other corkscrews.

This wine key is awesome! I'm required to keep one in my apron at the restaurant I work in. It's a little bigger than the double hinged one I had previously but this one makes the table presentation of opening the bottle much nicer than trying to cut open the foil around the bottle without cutting off my finger!

I am pleased that this item is stronger and slightly heavier than a similar one I have, so I have just ordered a second one from you. I gave the first one I purchased from you as a Christmas gift. When I tried it before giving it away, it seemed to work smoothly. I hope that continues to be the case and that it is durable.

I have severe arthritis and arm weakness. This corkscrew outdoes all the fancy ones and is EASY to use. I REALLY like the circular foil cutter than eliminates the little knife that I find difficult to control.
