You need to save a lot of corks for this board, and corks in good shape. But it's a good craft project, just may take a while to complete; work on it as a family. Nicely finished wood, comes well packaged with everything you need....except corks. If giving as gift, consider adding a package of corks.

This is the second cork board I have bought from Wine Enthusiast. I found that I had to cut corks in half lengthwise to make the entire board nice and tight. I bought another brand and it fit all 128 corks without having to add bits here and there. WE's board needs to be just a bit smaller in length and width.

good quality and design. however, it is difficult to fit the wine corks in just right. i had some space left over on the sides. i suggest laying them down before you glue!

This was given to me as a Christmas gift and it sat in my bedroom for 10 months until my best friends birthday came around and I decided to get her one too that way we could get together to work on it - as we drink wine! It was a lot of fun and now we're looking at buying the coasters!

I was searching all over for ideas on how to make a corkboard with all the corks I have. it seemed like a lot of work to get all the supplies, but this kit had everything! Only problems: it claims (in the description and on the box) that instructions are included, but they weren't. I bought 2, and neither had it. But it's pretty self-explanatory, so you don't really need them. Also, I glued the corks closely together, and there ended up being a little gap between the corks and the frame on 2 sides. I think if you leave a little space between each cork, it should be ok.

I used this for more of a permanent place to display stuff. We had saved corks from over the years (writing the date and special moment on the cork) and used those to make the board. We then pinned special items up on the board that will stay there forever. Kind of like a keepsake display box, but with wine corks!

I am decorating my kitchen to be "wine" oriented and this is a fabulous fit. I haven't made my cork board yet, took a while to save enough corks. I went into my local wine tasting store and they handed over hundreds of corks to help me out. This unit did not come with instuctions, so I am really not sure how to assemble it. Other then that I gave one away as a gift to a wine lover friend of mine and she LOVES it.

This was a great "kit", however it was lacking finesse - literally no instructions on how to put it together. Comes with a small bottle of Elmer's style glue that is definitely not what you'd want to use. Instructions should specify using a hot glue gun if possible, as the glue that comes with it would take way too long to set up. Also the size of the unit is almost a full inch larger than the cork pattern in the display would suggest - you have to evenly space the "empty" space if you don't want to try cutting cork on the ends to make it fit snug. The unit comes with only a single hanger bracket, but the width of the unit certainly requires two - one on each side... ESPECIALLY if you don't get the cork to lay evenly, you'd never get it to hang straight without one on each end.

This is a great idea. I thought it might be a little dopey, but I love it! All those corks have memories attached to them -- like the bottle of Fendat we had at the base of the Matterhorn. It's easy to put together and you can display it, use it as a tray or corkboard.
