Cons

I consider myself an aspiring enthusiast and find this an ideal way to start a cellar. There is plenty of room for me to grow into this wine refrigerator. I love the study shelves and the smooth tracking. The unit is attractive, but it is a bit loud. Temperature fluctuates but stays reasonably around what is set. To compensate, I set it for a little colder than I normally would. Although I knew this when I bought the unit, the inability to fit pinot or sparkling wine bottles on the shelves if frustrating. A 1/4" more would be plenty - even for a few designated shelves.

Overall, we are happy with the refrigerator. It is very attractive, and relatively quiet. Plus the ability to build it into a wall or cabinets was an important feature. NEGATIVE: We ordered this as a right hand door (handle on left when facing unit) However, it arrived as a left hand door which appears to be the default configuration. The swing can be changed, but why provide the option if it doesn't ship that way? COMMENTS: We have placed over 110 bottles of various sizes and shapes in the unit, and there appears to be room for an addition 20 bottles. There are only 2 shelves for large sparkling wine and pinot noir bottles, and unless all of the bottles are reisling sized, it will not hold 170 bottles. I have not checked the temperature accuracy with a thermometer, but the display indicates that the internal temperatures fluctuate 1 to 2 degrees.

There is NO way this unit can hold 170 bottles. We've adjusted and re-adjusted, we are thinking 100-120 tops. The unit is loud. It can't keep a constant temp. We have both temps set on 55, neither has ever been at 55. They are either above or below. ~Good luck if you purchase this one.

delivery drivers bent the bottom of the unit so that it jammed the locking mechanism...when i caled to describe the issue, the response i recd was "use your body weight to re-bend the piece in the other direction and the lock should free up...obviously this has happened before so i wonder why they wouldnt fix the problem and reinforce that piece instead of making the end consumer responsible to fix the problem (and hope that the solution works)

The shelving is tight and presents problems for certain types of wider bottles common with Chardonnays; the practical capacity is really 150 to 160 bottles. An additional 1/4" between shelves would be a huge improvement and would increase my rating to five stars. The unit itself is fairly quiet once the wine in the cooler hits its temperature settings.

I reviewed several different options / brands and settled on the N'Finity because it had all of the features of the top brands, was substantially less expensive and was an overall attractive design. The N'Finity 170 was the right "capacity" for my needs. However, I did find that some larger Pinot Noir bottles would only fit on the top and / or bottom shelves. The "build" quality is excellent and the unit is very attractive.

I picked this fridge over the EuroCave Chamber wine cellar because I wanted a shelf for each row instead of stacking bottles or needing to purchase additional very expensive shelving. That being said, I'm not sure this fridge was designed by someone who has ever seen a wine bottle before. The shelves are too close together for wide bottles like Pinots and Syrahs (you can sneak them into the top shelf in the lower section, but you won't get 11 bottles on the shelf). I assume the shelves are designed for standard bordeaux bottles, which is mostly what I have, but the shelf isn't deep enough for the two-deep stacking arrangement they recommend. I was able to force it by having the rear bottles overhang the shelf a bit, but it's not how things naturally want to sit. And if you have extra tall Zin bottles, you can forget two deep on a shelf. Given that the vast majority of my collection is std Bordeaux bottles, I can fit about 150 bottles in here. But if your collection is substantially off-size bottles, you might want to think twice before purchasing this fridge. As far as other properties go, it is a bit loud (though no louder than a standard fridge), but we have it in a spare room, so we don't care. The temperature fluctuates by 5-7 degrees, but our wines aren't that fancy, so again, we don't care. It does look pretty sweet, though, so you will get major style points if you have it in your house. But definitely know what you're getting into before you buy it or else you may find yourself very frustrated.

N'FINITY advertises 11 bottles per shelf - valid for only one shape of cabernet/merlot-type bottles. Average for a mix of bottle shapes is more like 8. Plus Pinot bottles require pulling out shelves due to lack of vertical clearance (would need about 1/4 inch more per shelf to handle those). We will get nowhere near 170 in the unit.

We love wine - both red and white, so the dual zones are great. Just wish it was a little quieter.

There is some noise, but I got used to it quickly. You have to remove a shelf for champagne size bottles. The temp settings do not allow for more than a 12 degree difference between the zones. I needed additional storage space and this did fit my needs.

I use this as a single temperature unit (for red wines) in the basement and am absolutely satisfied. Summers in Illinois can be very hot so it's important to me that the unit keeps my wine at a constant temperature. I installed the cellar far enough away from the entertainment area so I have never noticed a sound from it. The only negative I found is the advertised 170 bottle capacity. Another reviewer noted that the estimate was based on a specific sized bottle, and I found that to be the case (120 capacity max). However, I still wouldn't trade it and thoroughly enjoy the style of the unit. My neighbors are jealous!
