Etched Globe Spirits Decanter

Bought this as a birthday gift for my husband. He keeps his scotch in it and has it on display. It is a truly beautiful piece.

I was impressed with the appearance and design. The product is beautiful and unique, but after just a few uses, the cork stopper completely broke off. Turns out it was hollow inside and barely lasted a month. On a positive, note, when I called about the issue to seek a replacement stopper, the customer service people were excellent and sent me a replacement immediately. I love to see a company stand behind their products this way, very rare. I will be ordering from them again.

Because I got this at a discount, I gave it 3 stars. I think I would have been disappointed if I had paid full price. A little bit cheaper construction than the full price would indicate. Haven't used it to store any spirits yet, so I can't speak to durability or usability. It just looks cute displayed in our dining room. Would not recommend it for a gift.

This decanter is so beautiful with the globe etched in it. It is a wonderful decorative piece of art as well as a functional bar accessory.

My experience was different than some other folks. I recevied this as a gift for Christmas 2010. The decanter that I received did not have a plastic stopper (mine was cork) and the globe design was eteched glass (not a decal). Maybe they changed it? It is small, or smaller than you might expect, but it does hold a 750ml bottle fairly easily. I haven't had any issues with leaking or breakage, but I am careful with it as it does seem fragile. Good gift!

I paid for gift wrapping and it was not wrapped when I got it - now I am having problems getting a credit for that since I had already paid for it. The product was great but will not buy from Wine Enthusiast again and have spread the word as to the problem I am having.

Its perfect for sherry for entertaining!

The globe is much smaller than you would expect, but fits a normal bottle of sherry. The stopper is plastic which gives an incredibly cheap feel and the cork broke after a week. The stand is hollow glass which accentuates the overall cheap feeling. This is best used in an office or personal bar.
