We are very pleased with this purchase. The "flaw" was an obvious smudge/ grease smear/watermark on the top. A little good furniture polish restored the finish to perfection so it was well worth its price! The only drawback I have found is that the shelves seem a bit tight and close together but that is minor.

We have a 28-bottle wine fridge in the kitchen, and wanted a more stylish and larger piece of furniture for some longer term storage. This outlet console is beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. And, it was a great bargain -- I really had to look to fine the small ding and slightly bubbled veneer near the base. It is quiet, seems to hold a decent temperature inside our home den/office, and holds the advertised number of regular bottles, though with little room to spare -- for room for Syrah and larger bottles, shelves can be removed, but they will get label scrapes if you try to fit them on most of the shelves (the top shelf has quite a bit of room above it). The shelves are lightweight and easily removable, but are well-suited for their purpose. This is the only inexpensive wine cellar we have found that has such a beautiful furniture-grade exterior. If I had the space, I'd buy another.

We put it in a corner of the dining room for storing library reds. It looks great - if there is a scratch it must be hidden on the side against the wall. The only drawback is the light, flimsy shelves.
