I found them easy to use with either the enclosed paper or construction-weight paper. The only drawback I can see is that the paper is held straight up, which can make it hard to read if you are standing directly in front of the holders. I'd prefer a bit of a slant.

I was very disappointed, the catalog portrayed this as a wine cork place card holder. I ordered two sets to use at a party, instead of being made from a real cork they were ceramic look alikes--not acceptable.

I used this product at a Christmas day dinner to identify where my guests would sit. The response of how unique the place card holders were outshined my decorated dinner table. Everyone wanted to know how we were capable of cutting down actual corks! Once they found out that they could be purchased and would last longer than actual corks, they all wrote down the address to acquire their own place card holders. It was a great hit for the dinner party. I plan on using them next at a buffet to identify the different food dishes.
