Before opening the tenth bottle of wine the corkscrew twisted out and then when I decided to use only the knife to cut the foil it twisted out. Much too flimsy for regualr use.

I ordered a number of corkscrews for my husband, ranging from this one to a "laguiole" (sp?). The very first time we used this one, the metal screw broke off from the handle.

A perfect corkscrew/bottle opener. The wide handle makes uncorking wine bottles a breeze (and pain-free, as my last opener was metal and would cut into my hand). Perfect and practical.

Great little cheap screw, but materials are somewhat on the cheap side. Be prepared to replace this little gem every 6 months or so with a lot of use.

Keep in your pocket
I often find myself without a corkscrew on hand when I am at the marina or out with friends. The trusty Swiss Army knife comes in hand, but my friends are the ones that usually carry them and I always have to ask them to borrow it. This corkscrew can stay in your pocket or to keep in another location when traveling or while at a friend's house.

A good spare cork screw, never leave home without it.I find that people often, when presenting a bottle of wine to the host of a party have no way of opening the bottle, shy of sending the host back into the house. But, now what if the party is nowhere near the comforts of home? That comfortable Glen overlooking a lake... I have bought a wine carry bag (locally)that included the poly carb glasses and a space to hold the wine, yet nothing to open it with. Here is My choice.
