Almost Perfect!

4.0

Pros

  • Efficient Use of Space
  • Sturdy
  • Good Capacity
  • Easy To Assemble
  • Attractive Design

Cons

  • Bottles Slip Out
  • Pinot bottles do not fit

Best Uses

  • Wine Cellar Storage

If this product had a longer mounting piece and wider bottle holders (even just at the bottom for Pinot bottles) it really would be perfect!!!!So what we did was we bought 2 X 4 and put them where the mounts are, stained them and mounted it to them..Badda Bing...perfect!

Good storage for a lot of wine

4.0

Pros

  • Efficient Use of Space
  • Good price value
  • Good Capacity

Cons

  • Tricky to assemble

Best Uses

  • Wine Cellar Storage

This is the best value we have found for wine storage in the smallest amount of space. Great for a basement or wine cellar. Once we screwed it into the wall the whole thing twisted a bit but the bottles don't fall out. It holds almost all wine bottles except the very fat ones and you don't see those much. Thinking about getting another one.

Works great! Racks are sturdy, but the wall connectors don't hook onto the racks very securely, but with 4 of them and enough bottles in the rack, it's not going to tip over anyway. Great solution for anybody who buys & stores multiple cases of wine at a time!

Max storage for a low price

4.0

Pros

  • Efficient Use of Space
  • Good Capacity
  • Easy To Assemble

Cons

  • Opennings too small
  • Damages Labels

Best Uses

  • Wine Cellar Storage

Need to add spacers between wall and brackets otherwise bottles will not rest properly on the wire rack. Opennings are unforgiving and rack will not accomodate champagne, pinot noir and syrah bottles (or anything wider than a standard cabernet sauvignon bottle). However, this is the cheapest rack around for storing a large number of bottles in a small space.

Good basic storage, but with gotchas

3.0

Pros

  • Efficient Use of Space

Cons

  • larger bottles don't fit
  • Bottles Slip Out

Best Uses

  • Wine Cellar Storage

Good, economical, basic volume storage. Openings don't fit larger bottles like Champagne and some Rhone and specialty bottles. Supplied mounting pieces do not hold entire rack far enough above floor to allow bottom row of bottles to sit down securely and not far enough from wall so bottle necks rest securely on outer grid (I had to make my own additional mounting pieces to overcome). Older versions of this product had each grid panel as one solid piece where this new one makes each grid out of two pieces with small connectors, which undoubtedly makes shipping easier but is not as solid a structure when assembled.

It was worth the money

Pros

It was simple to put together. The only issue I had was that it was too close to the wall if you did not put some sort of spacers with it. It seemed like some of the bottles could fall out so I used 1 x 2 stips to move it away from the wall. Overall you get what you pay for and the price was reasonable.

Bought this rack to hold my small collection. Bottles kept slipping out until I re-installed the rack backwards according to the directions and put some small lifts under the footholds. Works well now.

Nice, But Flimsy

Cons

This was a PIA to assemble. The front to back sections were easy, but then it got real "fun" when assembling the rest. The instructions weren't totally clear on the bottom brace and the rack didn't snap into it. I installed this in my wine cellar room and added an extra stud to accomodate the brace width. The braces didn't snap onto the rack like they should have. I'm glad I was able to attach them directly to the exposed studs in the room as this stablized it better than using dry wall expander screws. It's good for the price but the design could have been better without adding any extra cost.

Good Basic Wine Rack

4.0

Pros

  • Good Capacity

Cons

Best Uses

This is a good basic rack with great capacity. I have found that because this is a metal rack, bottles tend to slide a bit. So from time-to-time, you will need to push your bottles back in. If you put a piece of black electricians tape on the front rail, it helps keep the bottles from slipping. I wish you still had these racks for magnum sized bottles(1500 ml). Since I make my own wine, I use this size frequently to bottle wine and could probably use another one.

Pros

Cons

  • Flimsy

Bought this thinking it would be affordable storage for some of our nicer bottles. What a waste of [$]. It is so flimsy, even with the additional support we installed. Each time you put a bottle in or out, it shakes all the other bottles. Not to mention, the bottles don't properly fit in (too shallow). The best place for this is the garbage. What a waste of money and effort installing it. Back to square one.

Easy to assemble and holds LOTS of bottles. Really unfortunate that the "holes" for the bottles do not accommodate Champagne or the "new style" Pinot Noir or Syrah bottles.
