Visual Decanter & Aerating Funnel Set

I had no doubt that decanting a bottle of Zinfandel would tame the taste. The suprise I got was the vapor lock caused by allowing the funnel to rest in the neck of the decanter. You must use both hands with this decanter. If you hold the funnel about a sixteenth of an inch off the neck, the wine flows freely. More experienced users probably already know this. This piece is worth the money. It cleans easily and is not a problem to store. It improves the taste of your wine and the screen catches those tiny pieces of cork that would end up in the wine glass. A GREAT PRODUCT...

It's a beauty and well worth the $$

the aerating funnel is useful, efficent, and almost fun to use. on the other hand, though the decanter is billed as "european crystal", and has the price tag to match, it really doesn't come off as particularly better than a glass carafe of similare size & shape. In retrospect I should have simply purchased the funnel separately (it is available on the site that way) and stuck it in some of the nice carafes we already own. would have saved enough to buy a few additional nice bottles of wine to decant!

[...] Husband loves the ease of cleaning while still looking sturdy and classic. We have broken multiple decanters because of thinness at the top (chips, cracks) and this one is holding up well.
