Glasses are stunning, especially when they are used with a deep red wine. Tremendous concentration of bouquet. Big problem is how to clean it, because the glass is very delicate, especially for the size and length of the stem, and the mouth of the glass is quite narrow. The brush WE recommended with the purchase was actually too wide to go into the glass without forcing it...after one effort I threw the brush away.

The only reason I'm giving a 4 star rating is because these were a gift, and I've had only one opportunity to drink from one. These look a bit more durable than the other Riedel wine glasses that I have, but I'm not sure if they are. These were a gift to a friend (bought a set of 4), and he loves the shape and size of them. They are a bit taller, which makes them seem more elegant. The design of them do seem to compliment and bring out the bouquet and flavor of Pinot Noir wines.

Very nice glasses. Must handwash as they are generously sized. They were on sale, but we liked them so much we ordered two more sets to be sure we can have enough to allow for a stray broken one.

An aesthetically pleasing glass

If the sipping of wine is not a fundamentally tactile experience for you, spending [$] for a crystal wine glass is an extravagance, when one could be had for $5 or $10. If, on the other hand, tactility in a wine glass borders on a fetish, you won't do better than this delightful glass. I find this glass more aesthetically pleasing than its counterpart in the more expensive Sommelier collection, which I find a tad too small and more than a tad too light. This glass has a pleasing shape, a generous size without being vulgarly oversized, and a satisfying weight in the hand. As such, it greatly enhances the wine-drinking experience, which is what a good glass should do. The crystal, while fine and requiring ginger hand washing, is not so delicate as to be impossibly fragile. This is one of the virtues of lead crystal: it's durability. In all, a totally satisfying glass, and more rewarding than glasses I've tried at two or even three times the price.

The base is a little heavy and the bowl is a little hard to clean; otherwise the glasses are extremely stylish and great for wine.

These glasses are the best I own and my wife and I use them all the time. They are a bit pricey but really everything nice is and you get what you pay for. Riedel is #1 in my book. Hand wash very carefully. It's really nice to drink wine from a great glass and you really can tell the difference.
