This will hold 48 bottles of the type listed in the description. It is somewhat hard to remove bottles-very tight, but it is in my Dining Room and looks nice and is maintaining 57 degree temperatures in Phoenix AZ.

PERFECT LITTLE WINE CELLAR!

Pros

So, it's true. Holding 48 bottles is a bit impossible if you like Chardonnay or Pinot. It's easy to remove a couple racks for those larger bottles. This is a great little wine cellar with separate temp controls. Mine is currently in our damp basement, but this is a great looking, quiet, little appliance that could fit into a number of locations easily. A perfect gift for someone wanting to start learning about wine until you get that giant cellar that holds all the bottles you want! [...]

Perfect wine fridge

4.0

Pros

  • Easy controlls
  • Quiet
  • Attractive Design
  • Removable shelving
  • Key locking

Cons

  • Pwr failure- resets temp

Best Uses

Love this fridge. I see where the comments about the tight shelving come from, but it is easily manageable. I would not hesitate to buy one of these for a family member. It is a wine fridge not a condominium for wine bottles. As much as I enjoy it, the wine makes me happier, Yea!!!! Buy one, you will be glad!

With the caveat that we've only had the fridge for about a month, it has been excellent so far. Not loud at all, maintains temperature well, and looks very nice. Hopefully durability will be as good.

The unit is attractive and quiet. The only problem is the shelving is way too tight. Even slim bottles like Cabernet are hard to fit into some of the shelves. Pinot Noir and some Chardonnay bottles will not fit at all. It works for us mainly because we are able to keep a decent supply of wine upstairs and don't have to go into the wine cellar in the basement all the time.

Tight little unit. [...]Very easy to set shelves and put door handles on. Had up and running fast. After about 6 hours temp was where I wanted it and has not moved for 2 weeks.

The temperature setting is very consistent, and I can't believe how quiet it is! Also, the black finish with stainless doors goes so well with the black leather club chairs in my new Ladies' Wine Room (not to be confused at all with a Man Cave).

Love this beautiful 2-temp wine fridge! Great space to store a variety of reds and whites, quiet and beautiful (interior lights are a beauty!) Doesn't seem to hold the exact temperature we would like. Using the left side for reds, the fridge is spot on the setting but on the right side for whites, there seems to be an 8 degree variance from the setting : ( We have it set for 50 degrees and purchased a stand-alone thermometer to check how it was performing. The top portion of this side is reading 54 and the bottom is reading 58. We re-booted the fridge as directed but no change in temp performance. Since we are beginners - this is something we can overlook. We love this purchase!

Reviews are spot on

4.0

Pros

  • Energy Efficient
  • Precise Temperature
  • Quiet

Cons

  • Tight spacing
  • Cheap shelves
  • Scratches labels
  • Doesn't really fit 48

Best Uses

The reviews I read prior to purchase were spot on. This product is quiet, accurate and holds a good amount of wine for a casual taster or aspiring enthusiast. It is great for an apartment or smaller house/space. The problems are: 1) the shelves are cheap and the brackets that hold the shelves in place break off if you are not careful (one broke off the first time I pulled a shelf out!); 2) there is barely any space between shelves so if you don't have standard chardonnay/cab bottles you have to skip a shelf to make them fit (pinots etc); 3) because the shelves are so close together, when you pull out a bottle, the shelf above scrapes across the bottle and pulls part of the label off. So you have to move the shelf above to get a bottle out. These are not as major as noise, accuracy/consistency of temp or overall design but are considerations. Overall I think it's a good deal for the $$.

[...]The cellar looks classy and immaculate. It holds it's temp so far extremely well (I've got both sides at 55 degrees; I have not tried lower temps, but I expect they'd do fine).Thermoelectric is super quiet.I can fit different size bottles (Syrahs, 1 liter, 1.5 liter) as well without too much fuss, and I just keep my champagne on the bottom area.Top shelf is tighter with the temperature display screens, but one can fit half or thinner bottles there.Interior lighting is nice (controls are inside the doors, but a quick push and close of the door lets you peruse your goodies at your leisure).Locks on the bottom are functional (better than nothing; I think a screwdriver would foil it easily). All in all, I am very pleased with it. A huge upgrade from my prior keeping wine in the basement and risking damaging one's wine and investment.I don't know how the humidity will do (I don't think this has automatic defrost), but I suspect it will do fine.

I have 48 bottles in this fridge...not sure what all the fuss about having to remove shelves to fit bottles...I guess if you have oversized. I have a good mix, granted some fit better than others and it can get tight, but work the bottles around and they will all fit. This unit runs great and is just what I needed for my Reds.

This unit is just the right size for those who have a great interest in wine, but not quite ready to spend what it takes to get the bigger units. I was worried that it would look "out of place" in our den, but the design is great--very attractive. [...]Overall, a very nice shopping experience.

When ordering this item, we knew that the advertised 48 bottle capacity was not accurate for most wine collections. If you have mostly Pinots, and a lot of them, I'd suggest purchasing a larger storage unit. Otherwise, be prepared to have to remove shelves to make room. Although this is supposed to be a "silent" unit, the fan is on almost all of the time and is quite audible. Perks include doors that can be locked, dual temps, and a nice design. Would recommend as long as purchaser is aware of the cons.
