I know these are supposed to be rustic looking - but they look like someone dropped them on the floor. Two of mine had large chips on the edges, going up into the painted areas of the coasters. The lettering dissappointed me also - the 'p' in the name I had put on the coasters looked more like a funny 'h'.

We gave these coasters as gifts. Our friends/family liked them so much that we ended up purchasing some for ourselves. The "personalization" is done nicely --- these do not look tacky. The only problem that we have had is a scratch on a tabletop from the sides of one of the coasters --- which I think was more due to the fact that our child got a hold of it.

The coasters looked even better than I imagined. I would recommend this as a great gift idea. One thing that you should be aware of -- the coasters are rustic looking and the edges are a bit rough and unfinished -- however, for me, that was part of the look/charm.
