Jean Dubost Laguiole 6-Piece Steak Knives (Multi-Colored)

I was on the hunt for a gift for my husband for our 14th Anniversary. I like to go by the yearly guide & for 14 it is ivory. A friend suggested ivory handled steak knives. He also recommended Wine Enthusiast. I found the perfect gift for my steak loving husband. They are beautiful, sharp, & I love the long back ground of the company. Very pleased w/this purchase.

I originally purchased a different brand Laguiole knife and it's quality was terrible. Returned it and purchased this Jean Dubost from Wine Enthusiast and couldn't be happier.

These knives have very little weight and they feel cheap.

Steak knives tend to be either extremely cheap ($2/knife)or extremely expensive($50/knife). The Laguiole set fills the middle ground (at about [$]+/knife). They are a good value product at that price. The knives look good, especially with the pearlized ivory handle. They also have a curved handle that is comfortable and ergonomically correct. The downside is that they are slightly lightweight, and not especially sharp.

It made a very handsome gift especially in its display box. It will definitely impress the receiver of such a gift.

These knives are a pleasure to behold as well as use. HIghly recommended.

Best value for money for steak knives

I love the way these knives look and they fit so comfortably in your hand. Although I've only used them once I did put them in the dishwasher and they did really well. They could probably be used everyday (I bought two sets) but these beauties will only come out for special occasions. Oh, and they cut our steaks without effort.

14th Anniversary gift (Ivory). Knifes are attractive but needed to be sharpened before use.

We used the knives to cut filet mignons, the knives were remarkably sharp and easy to use. I find them beautiful to the eye as well.

I bought a set of these knives for my husband and he loves them and now I have bought them for family and friends. Wonderful gifts.
