Wine Bouquet Kit (Professional)

Really helps one develop one's nosing abilities. Teaches about the scents one "picks up" in a glass of wine. Helps deepen appreciation of various wines.

This is a great idea and I was excited about it. When the first one showed up about 1/3 of the scents did not have any smell at all. I called cust. serv. and they promptly sent me a new one. The second one arrived and still nearly 1/4 of the scents did not work. I put the two together to form the best overall unit, but still have about 5 that do not work. Too bad, but I will keep it.

I am slowly learning to differentiate the various scents in the kit. This kit really helps out. Some of the scents are more subtle than others. This is really fun and a great addition to any party.

The kit is fairly complete, especially for the price, compared to $400 competitors with just a few more scents. Some aromas seem artificial, like the banana. It would be nice to get a list of wine varietals with common aromas and an up to date list of wines to try, to attempt matching.

It's alot of fun I use it to educate people about wine.

I read a lot of comments about how some of the aromas were difficult to smell. I had the same problem until I began dipping skewers in the gel and sniffing the gel off of the skewer. All of them work great using the skewers. Granted, I will eventually run out of gel; hopefully I train my nose before that.

Some of the scents are so subtle, they cannot be easily discerned. Amazing that OAK is not included since it is such a vital component of wine bouquet.

Some aromas are not strong, but it is good for the begginer level.

Some of the vials are hard to smell. It is fun learning how to pick the scents/bouquet from wine.

We hosted a wine party and this was a big hit. At first we found some of the scents hard to smell, but as we used them more and got better at identifying them, we could smell them better. Scents are not necessarily strong in the wine, so it trains your nose to be more discerning.

I had hoped to use this kit to learn how to distinguish the different essences and flavors in wines. I found that most of the scents were weak or had no fragrance at all. Very disappointing.

This is a fun and informative way to understand more about the wines you drink - and read about - if you ever wondered what was meant by certain smells on the nose - this product takes that guess work out.

Some of the vials in the kit didn't smell at all, some smelled very little. I've experienced other kits that were better for educating.
